EQUUS AUTOMOTIVE is an American automobile manufacturer, was formed in 2009 as a corporation in the State of Georgia and is currently based in Rochester Hills near Detroit.

EQUUS Automotive Inc. formerly partnered with Panoz on the early EQUUS TOM1 project, which has been designed by Tom Tjaarda and displayed at 2008 SEMA show. According to, EQUUS TOM1 “is the re-incarnation of a legendary car that will commemorate the recent Maharaja’s Road Event that took place in India.” 

Since EQUUS AUTOMOTIVE Inc. has fully engineered and designed the EQUUS BASS770. When it comes to retro styling the major car-makers have nothing on Detroit’s newcomer, EQUUS. The startup has become legendary in just a few short years and though it may take its styling cues from a generation ago this car has super modern suspension and technology. Thefastbackdesign was inspired by the 1960s and 1970s American muscle cars. It has acarbon-fiber and aluminumcar body on an aluminumframeand acurb weightof 3635 lb.General MotorsLS9 6.2-litresuperchargedV8 engine fromChevrolet Corvetterated 640 bhp and 605 lb fttorque, rear-drivendouble clutchsix-speedtransmission. It has 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and to a top speed of 200 mph.

TheEquus Bass 770prototypes were unveiled in 2014 Detroit North American International Auto Show.

The vehicle will be on sale as a 2016 model year vehicle.

The latest news reveals that first sales of the EQUUS will debut at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show in November with a price of 500,000 USD. The Equus Bass 770 is fully hand-built in the USA.
